With a (mostly) clean slate, the action shifts to the Middle East six months later, where Carrie is a field agent, “anesthetizing herself against her grief and the loss of Brody,” says executive producer Alex Gansa. “She’s left her child behind because she’s a reminder of that.” And look for the emergence of Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) “as a very strong and powerful influence in Carrie’s life,” he says.
